The workshop will take place in our studio around the corner from Broadway Market. It's about 15 minutes walk from Bethnal Green tube station, 5 minutes from London Fields and Cambridge Heath Overground stations. It's a dedicated workshop space at the back of our fabric shop, nice and peaceful for sewing but you can still feel a part of the buzz of the shop. The space is fully accessible, at ground level with no steps. We also have a large accessible toilet.
CLASS OVERVIEW
WHAT WILL THE CLASS COVER
+ How to take your measurements and pick the right size
+ How to make a brazilian style pair of briefs
+ How to make a thong, hipster or high waisted brief (each of these styles follows the same instructions, so you can pick one style to make in the class, and then you can master the technique for all three)
+ What folder over elastic is and how to use it
+ How to make a gusset and insert this into your briefs
+ How to create a brief with no visible panty lines
This is a practical class and you will leave with at least two new pairs of briefs!

+ A digital copy of all of The New Craft House brief patterns
STUDENTS WILL NEED TO BRING:
WHO IS THIS CLASS FOR?
This class is suitable for confident beginners and intermediate sewists. You need to know how to use a sewing machine and to sew with jersey, but might be your first time using fold over elastic or sewing underwear.
All of our brief patterns come in UK sizes 6-34 with a waist measurement range of 61-131cm. If you fall outside of this size range, please do get in touch.
