This ex-designer fabric is a madras cotton check. Madras cottons are lightweight cottons with a bright tartan check design woven into the cloth. Traditionally woven in India and taking it's name from the former name of the city of Chennai. Lightweight, with a crisp drape. Perfect for shirts, blouses shorts and dresses!
