This ex-designer fabric is a rich velvet. It's so soft to the touch and has a beautiful sheen with a cotton canvas backing. The pile is dense and looks so luxurious. Medium to heavy weight and a wonderful mix of structure and great drape. Gorgeous for a patchwork, cushions, or garments! This velvet has pile damage, some areas more than others. The price reflects this. Steaming and brushing the velvet should help revive the velvet and bring back the natural softness and smooth finish, but we cannot guarantee this will work on all areas.
