This unique ex-designer fabric is a cloqué with a raised texture highlighted in ivory against a warm cream background.  Medium weight, with a bouncy drape, would be perfect for softly structured dress! 

Fancy fabrics are often made up of a variety of yarns, in this case the weft yarns are silk and form the base of the fabric, whilst the warp yarns are polyamide and create the textured detail.
