WHO IS THIS CLASS FOR?
This class is suitable for complete beginners or those who need a little refresh or a helping hand. You will finish the class feeling comfortable and confident using a sewing machine - honest!
We'll be taking you through how to sew on a machine step by step. Starting at the very beginning, you'll learn to confidently thread your machine and understand its basic functions. You'll go on to practise different stitches and finish the day by making a pair of pretty PJ shorts.
You will need to bring one metre of cotton fabric to make your PJ shorts out of, we're happy to advise on fabrics before the class. All other materials and supplies will be provided. We have Janome machines available to use or you can bring your own machine if you'd particularly like to learn on a specific model. There will also be lots of drinks and sweet treats to keep you going throughout the class.
The workshop will take place in our canal-side studio by London Fields in Hackney, London, we will send you a map and address close to the date of the class. It's about 10 minutes walk from Bethnal Green tube station or 5 minutes from London Fields overground station. The class will run from 11am - 5:30pm.
