This ex-designer fabric is a beautiful burnout satin. Burnout fabrics, also known as devoré, are treated with a chemical process that burns away the pile in specific areas, in this case creating a medium scale geometric pattern. The pattern is a high shine satin whilst the burnout areas are sheer and similar to a chiffon. Lightweight with a gorgeous airy drape. Has an incredible soft silk handle. Would look amazing as a blouse or as the overlay of a dress, even for bridal!
