Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
At The New Craft House sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. By arming our customers with the knowledge and tools to sew a more sustainable handmade wardrobe, we're fighting against fast fashion culture and the environmental impact of it.
All of our fabric is deadstock sourced from local businesses and designers. Much of this surplus fabric would have been destined for landfill or in some cases burnt. You can shop our fabric knowing that you're helping to reduce waste in the fashion industry.
Hello! We are Hannah and Rosie and together we run The New Craft House. Friends since school, we’ve always been obsessed with crafting. After struggling to find fresh and exciting sewing products and workshops we set up The New Craft House in 2013.
We sell sustainably sourced fabric and run a range of sewing workshops from our studio on Broadway Market, East London.
We’d love to hear from you so comment, find us on instagram or email us at email@example.com
Fabric Ambassador: Rachel Pinheiro's Philippa Pants
For the second of our guest ‘Fabric Ambassador’ posts we’re welcoming to the blog one of our ultimate sewing style-crushes, Rachel Pinheiro / @houseofpinheiro. We love Rachel’s style and her garments are always impeccably sewn and fitted, she was one of the first sewing bloggers we got obsessed with. Rachel chose to make a pair of jeans in our white denim and the finished pair are all kinds of amazing. We’ve got a great range of denims in at the moment which are perfect for lots of different jeans patterns, have a browse of them all here. Enjoy Rachel’s project and come back soon for another ambassador post, Emily from Self Assembly Required is next!
