Workshop FAQs

If you're planning on attending one of our workshops please read this list of common questions! If you can't find what you're looking for, drop us an email at hello@thenewcrafthouse.com

Where are the workshops held?

All workshops are held at our new office in Broadway Market, London Fields. This is about a 15 minute walk from Bethnal Green tube station and 10 minutes from London Fields overground station.

Do I need my own sewing machine?

We recommend that you bring your own machine along if possible as it's always a good idea to learn on the machine you're going to be using, but it's not essential. We are sponsored by Janome and have their CXL301 machines available to anyone who can't bring their own.

How big are the classes?

Depending on the activity, classes range from 6-12 people. This will always be outlined in the class description.

Do I need to bring anything along to the workshops?

Please check each individual listing for what you need to bring along. We'll send you an email the week before the class too, detailing what (if anything) you need to bring!

Are your workshops easily accessible?

Our workshops are all held on the first floor, with one small staircase. If you have accessibility needs, please drop us an email at hello@thenewcrafthouse.com.

Are the workshops ok for children?

Most of our workshops are suitable for children, but anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult attending the workshop.

Can I cancel a workshop?

Up to a month before the class we will offer you an exchange to another date, or a refund -25%. Up to 2 weeks before the class we can offer you a refund -50%, unless we are able to find someone else to fill your spot. We'll always try to fill the spots first!
