This ex-designer fabric is a warm grey cotton chambray.  Chambray is where the weft threads are one colour and the warp threads are another, traditionally in blue and white but can be found in other colours.  It lightweight with a nice amount of movement.  Would be great for a shirt dress or wrap top.
